Active Transaction and HITMAP monitoring of the process which acted as a gateway at the center of the service was a great help in solving the problem because those were the first to notice a huge crisis (whole service down). We are able to solve the problem by figuring out which transaction was delayed and tracing the cause. In addition, before, when some issue (some service unavailable) occurred, we couldn’t identify the trouble because the developer did not leave an error log. However, since statistics on transaction errors are provided for each class, symptoms can be seen through WhaTap. Now we can find the cause of the problem and resolve it.
